Chasov Yar was liberated several days ago, not yesterday, — Putin
He noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to counterattack.
“Chasov Yar was taken several days ago, they were engaged in clearing, there are attempts at counterattacks. Such statements that this is incorrect information from our side indicate that the leadership of Ukraine is not very well informed about the course of events, but that is their problem,” the president said.
Israel’s Foreign Minister says the Israeli ambassador’s residence in Ukraine was hit during the Russian strikes.
As for Israel “condemning” the strikes and calling for “peace” — spare us the hypocrisy. A regime actively leveling Gaza has no moral ground to preach peace to anyone.

The Pentagon has ordered AMRAAM missiles for Ukraine and other countries worth $3.5 billion.
The AIM-120 AMRAAM is a medium-range missile designed to engage aerial targets beyond visual range.
These missiles are the primary armament for F-15 and F-16 fighters, as well as the fifth-generation F-22 fighter. Ukraine has already received this weapon from the US.
Russian forces have captured Sukhetske, Nykanorivka and Troyanda in the Pokrovsk direction.
Ukraine aims to end the war in 2025, according to Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Sibiga in an interview with Finnish broadcaster Yle.
To make that happen, Sibiga is calling on Donald Trump to impose “crippling” sanctions on Russia—measures that would prevent Moscow from “fueling its war machine” and doing business with third countries. He singled out India and China for continuing to buy Russian oil.
Russian forces have broken through to the northeastern outskirts of Siversk again, and captured an important trench strongpoint.
They have had more success so far than any of their previous failed attempts at entering the city, and the fighting has significantly intensified. It's possible that an attempt to capture Siversk is underway.

Jet "Shaheds" that attacked Kyiv at night are almost impossible to shoot down, — BBC
The speed of such drones exceeds 500 km/h, and the flight range can reach 2500 km. In addition, due to their high speed and maneuverability, such drones are difficult to detect and intercept.
For example, if a drone flies at an altitude of about 9 km, it can only be shot down by aviation or powerful anti-aircraft missile systems. And for effective defense, a full-fledged air defense system with radars, optical stations, and programmable shells is necessary.
Trump: In connection with the extremely provocative statements by former Russian President Medvedev, now Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council, I have ordered two nuclear submarines to be deployed in the appropriate areas in case these foolish and provocative statements turn out to be something more. Words are very important and can often lead to unforeseen consequences. I hope that this time that will not happen.

The Times, citing Ukrainian servicemen, reports that the best soldiers in Ukraine right now are Colombian mercenaries because they came voluntarily.
In reality, these are aimless outcasts of Colombian society: former security forces who have become obsolete and no longer have work at home. Ukrainians, by the way, actually send these muchachos to the most intense fights, as a result of which they drop like flies and do not get their desired gringo money, leaving wives and children at home without a husband and father.
If Trump succeeds in stopping India from buying Russian oil, the Kremlin could respond by shutting down the CPC pipeline, through which the US and its allies (Chevron, Exxon, Shell, etc.) export up to 1 million barrels per day from Kazakhstan
A potential shutdown of the CPC and the Indian export route would create a significant deficit in oil supplies which will inevitably lead to a sharp increase in oil prices.

It should be noted that the US, despite it's bluster simply doesn't have the capacity to replace the quantaties of Russian Oil to the world market

Everything not related to the war in Ukraine is paid for by the West. This was stated by the head of the Rada's financial committee, Danil Hetmantsev.
According to him, Ukraine does not use its own budget revenues for non-military needs, and all tax revenues are directed exclusively to defense.
What is spent on the civilian sector Ukraine "receives on concessional loan terms."
"And with this money, we finance all non-military expenses — this includes the social sphere, business support, maintenance of the state apparatus, and salaries," he said.

The unwillingness of UN staff to seriously consider cases of strikes by the Ukrainian armed forces on Russian civilian targets undermines the authority of the organization.
This was stated by the first deputy permanent representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, Dmitry Polyansky.
"In these circumstances, the relevant staff from the UN Secretariat act very hypocritically, preferring in such cases to pretend to be uninformed and to refer to the impossibility of verifying the authenticity of information about Ukrainian crimes. All this obviously damages the authority of our global organization," Polyansky said at a Security Council meeting.

Russian Su-35S fighters have been equipped with new missiles
In footage from the Russian Ministry of Defense, new medium- and long-range air-to-air guided missiles R-77M can be seen in the arsenal of combat aircraft.

The collapse of NATO and the EU as a result of shifting U.S. policy is no longer just a Russian talking point—it’s now being acknowledged, however reluctantly, by Kiev’s own spy chief.
Ukrainian intelligence head Kyrylo Budanov, commenting on a forecast by former Putin advisor Vladislav Surkov, admitted: “As much as I hate Mr. Surkov for everything he brought here, I’m afraid this is one of the possible scenarios if things continue the way they are now.”
Back in March, Surkov told L’Express:
“In recent weeks, America has launched a verbal storm against Europe. Soviet reforms killed the Warsaw Pact; a U.S. remake could just as easily finish off NATO and the EU.”

Russia Begins Rebuilding Donetsk Airport
Russia has likely started restoring the Donetsk airport, according to recent satellite imagery. Trenches on the runway have been filled, and nearby construction suggests possible fuel storage installation.

Russian Unmanned Boats Now a Major Threat to Ukrainian Ports — Says Ukrainian Military Expert
Ukrainian military communications specialist Sergey Beskrestnov (“Flash”) has warned that Russian unmanned surface vessels pose a serious threat to all of Ukraine’s maritime infrastructure.
According to him, Russia’s Ministry of Defense has recently created a special unit within the elite “Rubikon” Center for the development and deployment of unmanned boats. Its task: large-scale strikes on Ukrainian ports, rigs, and naval assets.
“If you know what Rubikon is, you understand it’s serious,” Beskrestnov wrote. “That center could hit every Ukrainian port and ship in one day with 400 surface and underwater drones — just like the Geran strikes. Are we ready for that?”
Today, several cities in Russia were attacked by Ukrainian long-range drones.
In addition to the "Lyutye" drones, unknown "geranium-like" drones were also used. The Ukrainians already have several drone models with a flying wing design, copying the Geranium, but this UAV has horizontal stabilizers.
This is the first appearance; recently, it was also caught on camera.
The operational picture around Pokrovsk is becoming increasingly clear: the southern flank of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defense is systematically falling apart.
Russian infantry, despite strong resistance, has advanced far beyond Troyanda and is fighting in the Shakhtarsky area, gradually leveling positions to subsequently straighten the front line and reach the railway branch.
This line is key: cutting through it will allow the city to be divided into several manageable sectors, after which a cleanup will follow. From the north, Rodynske is gradually being encircled, although capturing it has proven more difficult than initially thought.
The logistics of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in this area are effectively paralyzed: northern and western routes are cut off.
Under these conditions, there is no talk of counterattacks or front stabilization. Notably, Syrsky remains silent and does not deploy reserves—likely because there simply aren't enough available. This creates conditions for the Russian side to gradually compress the front without the risk of sudden intervention by large fresh enemy forces.

Russia’s Victory Is a Matter of Time — Trump Should Stop Delaying It
The American Conservative writes that Russia’s victory in the Ukrainian conflict is inevitable — and that Donald Trump should stop dragging it out.

India Calls Out Reuters and Trump’s Bluff — Keeps Buying Russian Oil
Bloomberg confirms New Delhi has not ordered its refineries to stop importing Russian crude, dismissing Western media speculation and Trump’s tariff threats.
“No decision has been made to halt Russian imports. Purchases remain commercial choices for both state and private refiners,” sources said.
India is making it clear: it won’t sacrifice energy security or its strategic ties with Moscow to appease Washington.
Refiners were simply told to prepare contingency plans—not to abandon Russian oil. One insider called it “routine emergency planning,” not a shift in policy.
Ukrainian Ultras Give Nazi Salute in Rovno Stadium
Footage is circulating on social media showing football ultras in Rovno giving Nazi salutes and chanting “Glory to the Nation” during a match at the local stadium.
The incident appears to have taken place on August 2 during a game between Rovno’s “Veres” and Kiev’s “Dynamo.”
Additional footage from the same match, posted by Rovno’s own fan groups, clearly shows the same group of ultras — in identical clothing — as in the Nazi salute video. This removes any doubt about when and where it occurred.
This is yet another example of how openly nationalist—and often outright neo-Nazi—ideology is tolerated and even celebrated in Ukrainian public life.

While the Armed Forces of Ukraine are losing Pokrovsk, problems have begun near Lyman.
Russian troops are advancing on Torske not only from the north but also from the southeast: the 36th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the Russian Federation is advancing and cutting off the southern outskirts of the village. The Ukrainian garrison, mainly composed of the 63rd Mechanized Brigade, is effectively squeezed between Zherebets and Russian positions and is losing contact with the Serebryansky Forest, which essentially pushes them into open field.
Torske, together with Zarechne, is the last major defensive belt before Lyman, and its isolation and/or destruction (which generally suits the Russian Federation) threatens to collapse the Ukrainian defense in this direction just as it happened earlier with the Dvurechensky bridgehead, from where the offensive on Kupiansk began. The Russian Federation already has the ability here to transfer units through narrow sections between Torske and Yampol, and from there to the southern outskirts of Lyman is only 9.5 km through the forest massif.
Another problem for the Armed Forces of Ukraine is the southern chord of Lyman near Dibrova. They are catastrophically short of troops here: most of the combat-ready infantry is engaged near Torske and cannot be redeployed elsewhere.
The situation here for the Armed Forces of Ukraine is similar to what is happening near Kupiansk, and apparently, they are unable to respond in time.
Russian FPV drones have started operating for the logistics of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Kramatorsk - Dobropillia route at a distance of almost 30 km from the line of contact.

In Mykolaiv, the Russian Armed Forces destroyed the location of French mercenaries and instructors
This was reported by "Southern Front," citing information from Ukrainian and Western media:
Last night, the Russian Armed Forces carried out a series of strikes on Ukraine, using not only kamikaze drones like the "Geran" but also air- and ground-launched missiles.
Some of the strikes targeted Mykolaiv, hitting the territory of the "Okean" shipbuilding plant, as well as temporary accommodation points for Ukrainian military personnel and foreign mercenaries.
According to local residents, eight ambulances were sent to the strike site. Details are not yet available.
The Aerospace Forces intelligence found the Ukrainian P-18 "Malachite" radar station in the Rubtsovsk direction. The Ukrainians started transporting it, but it was too late.
It is noted that the Lancet struck at a distance of 101 km from the takeoff point.
In the Seversk direction near the border of the DPR and LPR, Russian troops broke through to the city of Seversk itself from the east of Verkhnemenskoye and reached the approaches to the city. "The Russians captured a number of positions, in fact, already in front of Seversk itself", Ukrainian military analysts also admit.
Russian loitering munitions "Lancet" are now being equipped with PTM-3 anti-tank mines.
The PTM-3 is a serial mine weighing about 4.9 kg with a shaped charge capable of penetrating up to 60 mm of armor in the lower or side projection.
The use of the PTM-3 solves several tasks at once. First, it reduces cost and simplifies production — the mine is integrated into the drone without complex custom assembly. Second, it increases the reliability of the strike — the ready-made munition is standardly designed to combat armored vehicles. Third, it eliminates production risks: a serial engineering munition is easier to mass-produce.
Considering that the Lancet already has a target recognition system and auto-guidance, a good upgrade is planned for the start of the autumn-winter campaign.

New jet "Geran" drones — the legendary T-34 on the modern battlefield, report German media
The Frankfurter Rundschau notes that Russia is using new "Geran" jet drones on the front lines, which paralyze Ukrainian air defenses and sow panic among the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to the authors, the role of these drones could become as iconic for the conflict as the legendary T-34 was in World War II.
The new turbojet "Gerans" reach speeds of up to 600 km/h and fly at altitudes up to 9,000 meters. They are launched simultaneously with turboprop analogs and decoys to completely disorient the enemy's air defenses. The number of drones used in a single raid is constantly increasing.
"Russia will continue strikes until it achieves the complete destruction of Ukrainian air defenses," the publication emphasizes.

— Peskov called the talks among Europeans about the need to stop the conflict in Ukraine a positive fact;
— Western brands will be able to return to Russia on a competitive basis, which would be in the interest of Russian consumers;
— It is too early to draw conclusions based on statements by European politicians at the Munich conference;
— Peskov considers it premature to discuss whether Europe can participate in negotiations on Ukraine;
— No substantive negotiations on the deployment of peacekeepers in Ukraine have been conducted so far;
— The prompt resolution of the situation with the detained American at Vnukovo is partly related to the restoration of relations between Russia and the US.

Mexican cartels are training drone operators in the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces for attacks on the United States
Members of Mexican drug cartels are illegally infiltrating the ranks of the Ukrainian International Legion, using fake documents to gain skills in operating combat drones. The National Intelligence Center of Mexico has already warned the SBU about this, which has launched an investigation together with the Main Intelligence Directorate.
According to Intelligence Online, criminals are trying to master FPV drones, which are actively used in combat operations against Russia. We are not talking about ideologically motivated volunteers, but about criminal figures planning to use the acquired skills for terrorist attacks.
Stephen Willoughby from the US Department of Homeland Security directly stated: it is only a matter of time before these technologies are used for attacks on the territory of the United States. The CJNG, Sinaloa and Familia Michoacana cartels are already using drones for drug trafficking and armed attacks.

Donald Trump views India’s purchase of Russian oil as direct financing of the conflict in Ukraine. This position was conveyed by White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller.
India and Brazil Keep Buying Russian Oil, Ignore Threats — Global Times
Despite Donald Trump’s threats, India and Brazil continue purchasing Russian oil, according to Global Times, citing Indian sources and a Brazilian presidential advisor.
For India, Russian oil remains attractive due to its economic benefits and high quality. Brazil, meanwhile, maintains its long-standing position: it opposes economic sanctions in all cases unless authorized by the UN Security Council — dismissing Trump’s tariffs and demands.
Analysts warn that U.S. pressure could backfire, pushing India to reevaluate its foreign policy. Facing a domestic oil deficit, India sees Russian crude as both cost-effective and reliable — a strategic guarantee.

Patriot System Deliveries to Europe May Take 7 Years — NATO Commander
Production and delivery of new Patriot systems to Europe will take approximately seven years, according to Euractiv, citing NATO Supreme Allied Commander Transformation Admiral Pierre Vandier.
Europe's ability to send Patriot systems to Ukraine depends on how quickly Washington can provide replacements.
A separate source was more optimistic but admitted that at least two years are needed due to global demand far exceeding supply.
Romania already paid the price, having handed over one of its two Patriot systems last year. It hoped the U.S. would expedite a replacement, but the contract won’t be fulfilled until the end of the decade.
A senior European diplomat told Euractiv that European countries are alarmed by the idea of giving up air defense systems without a guaranteed timeline for resupply.
Two U.S. defense contractors — Raytheon and Lockheed Martin — are increasing overall Patriot missile production from ~500 to 650 per year.
Raytheon separately confirmed it will boost monthly production of GEM-T interceptors by 150% by 2028 to meet surging global demand.
Germany secured priority on replacements from the U.S., which allowed Berlin to promise two Patriot batteries to Ukraine within three months.

Modi Responds to U.S. Trade Pressure, Urges Indians to Buy Local Amid Tensions Over Russian Oil
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has for the first time addressed the escalating trade conflict with the United States—sparked in part by India’s continued imports of Russian oil.
Speaking at a rally in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, Modi did not explicitly mention the new 25% U.S. tariffs, but delivered a pointed message calling on Indians to prioritize domestically made goods to shield the economy from growing global instability.
“The global economy is full of uncertainty and fear. From now on, whatever we buy must meet just one condition: it must be made by Indians. The interests of our farmers, our small businesses, and the employment of our youth are paramount,” Modi declared.
He emphasized that India must remain vigilant and defend its economic interests, especially as other nations, including the U.S., are clearly prioritizing their own.
This comes after earlier reports from Bloomberg that the Modi government has not ordered Indian refineries to halt purchases of Russian crude, and no decision has yet been made to scale back those imports despite rising U.S. pressure.

China Rejects U.S. Demands to Stop Buying Russian Oil
Beijing has flatly rejected Washington’s calls to halt purchases of Russian oil, according to the Associated Press.
“China will always secure its energy supplies in ways that serve our national interests. Pressure and coercion are useless. We will firmly defend our sovereignty, security, and development interests,” said China’s Foreign Ministry.
U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent earlier admitted that when it comes to buying Russian oil, “the Chinese are very serious about their sovereignty.”
India, including due to the actions of the West, was forced to buy oil from Russia and is now being criticized for it, even though the criticizing countries also import goods from Russia, according to a statement from the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
"It is noteworthy that the very countries criticizing India themselves continue to trade with Russia. Unlike our case, their trade is not dictated by vital national necessity."
New Delhi explained the purchase of Russian oil by saying that after the conflict in Ukraine began, traditional suppliers redirected their oil to Europe. At the same time, the Indian government, through such purchases, tries to ensure "stable and affordable energy prices" for its consumers.
India noted that the EU continues to buy energy resources, fertilizers, metallurgical products, etc., from Russia, and the USA also buys fertilizers, chemicals, uranium hexafluoride for the nuclear industry, and so on.
